Welcome
Saint Paul Mission Historical Society is developing a public database of historically significant manuscripts and photos from the SPMHS collections and the Harriet D. Munnick collection.
Harriet D. Munnick was one of French Prairie's most prolific historians. Unfortunately, much of her work was never published and has not been available to the general public. All of her research and documents were donated to the SPMHS. The Board of Directors decided that the materials should be digitized, cataloged, and indexed in a PastPerfect database. The Austin Family Foundation provided multiple grants, and Oregon State University graduate students were hired to create this database. At present, thousands of images are found under the "collections" tab on this page.
JOE AND ROSELLA MCKAY SERVICE AWARD:
In 2023, the St. Paul Mission Historical Society established the Joe and Rosella McKay award for service to the Society as a way to honor individuals who have performed outstanding service to the Society.
The awardee(s) will have their name inscribed on a plaque in the Murphy House and will receive and award certificate at the October annual meeting.
Any dues paying or Life member of the Society may make a nomination, and the awardee will be selected from the nominations by a majority vote of the Board of Directors.
Please use the nomination form linked below and submit by June 1.
